You'd think that MCPS would be smart enough to realize how litigious and educated parents are!
The problem is that it takes a lot of time and money to sue and when you get an attorney or file, you are put on ice at school. In order to win, you may have to hire money for experts, etc., whereas MCPS has all the information and staff at their fingertips.
Thus, the need to pass burden of proof legislation for Maryland.
Also, the law and the neuropsych are complicated. I am a well-educated law school graduate with a background in science and even I found it difficult to navigate.
