The fact that TJ takes private contributions to subsidize and perpetuate the inequities in FCPS only makes matters worse. It reduces the pressure to adequately fund the renovations that ought to take precedence at needier schools, if you can point to a shiny new science lab at TJ. I see many schools setting up separate funds for the arts, a fund for books, a fund for computers, a fund for young scholars, etc. [/quote]
