Chewing gum after brushing your teeth is fine! It's not uncommon or weird. Maybe he just doesn't like the sound of gum-chewing. For somebody you've only been with for 6 weeks, yes, he's right that it's bad table manners to pick your teeth at the table. Especially if you're doing it frequently throughout the meal (even if it's only once). Yes, it's good manners to do these things in the bathroom.

So while I don't think either of you is correct on ALL of these issues, I would say you need to dump him. Six weeks is VERY early for a guy to be telling you all the things he doesn't like about you. Who does that? Your bad habits are the kinds of things that are either deal breakers for him...things that he decides he'll just let go...or things he might mention here and there as the months go by.

And since his need to be right really bothers you, well, there you have it. You two needs to break up. [/quote]
