[/quote] I still reeeeeeally don't think you need a bed as far as headboard/footboard/frame goes. If $400 is your budget, spend that on linens: sheet set (about $40-$50) blanket (you probably already have one) duvet and comforter ($200 total if you need a comforter insert and duvet cover) bed skirt ($39) Try West Elm: http://www.westelm.com/shop/bedding/?cm_type=gnav You can get a mattress + box springs + metal frame for ~$300 - $400. If $400 is your total budget, you can probably keep to that with a very inexpensive mattress set, and linens and bedding from Target + what you already have laying around (Target makes perfectly fine stuff).
