So OP, if your husband wants the dogs to come, there isn't an option to tell them to board the dogs, have their friends watch the dogs, have the dogs stay back at a hotel that accepts dogs right? So why are those on the list if it's already been decided thw dogs are coming? I am reading between the lines that you are the only one who doesn't want the dogs to come (between husband parents and sibling), but either you say "no" united with you husband and let them work out the details, or it's ok with you and you figure out the setup in your own house
You're probably right. It is most likely the dogs will be coming. There is a chance that BIL's neighbors may be able/willing to watch their two dogs and I'm sure BIL would be fine with that. It's also possible BIL's wife won't come because she doesn't like to travel in which case she would watch them. Still, I like to have a range of options on the list though so we can cross them off. Just my personal view but I think it facilitates compromise when the gamut of options is presented so each side can see that the other one is being flexible. Your last point is kinda the reason for the post. I would like ideas in addition to those that I've listed that I could propose.
