I'm a little confused by the OP: are you annoyed he's telling you why he's getting up from and leaving the table during the middle of a meal - a display of basic manners and a proper upbringing - or of his use of the word washroom? Either way, I honestly think you need to spend a little time examining and processing those feelings - the sine qua non of a relationship in serious trouble is little trivial things starting to really grate and get under your skin. I'm not blowing off your feelings - I bet they're real - but I don't think they stem from just his use of the word washroom.
This is OP. I say the word "washroom" and DH always announces "I have to go pee" and often does a pee song, which is crass and not appropriate to both use the word pee and sing and inform me about his bodily functions. I might be uptight but it seems like this isn't normal or common.
Ok, fair enough - I'd personally find the "song" part a little childish (not so much crass), but I think you should forget about trying to argue what is "normal". I stick by what I said before: I'd bet he's been like this as long as you've known him - why is this now suddenly like fingernails on chalkboard for you? Seriously, every time I've found myself having these kinds of feelings about a partner, it's been because something much larger and fundamental was going wrong in the relationship. Annoying things which were previously easy to tune out become crazy making. Check it out.
