We finally shelled out the cash to have him tested privately, which identified his learning disability. The school just preferred to call him lazy, because he tested so well on standardized tests. When we brought them the results, they told us they would not accept them, because they didn't instigate the testing. I then asked them whether or not they would prefer to discuss this in a court of law, because I could not see the educational difference between their specialist and the one we hired. The school backed down. You HAVE to play hardball with public school systems. [/quote]
