I grew up in a dysfunctional family, too. You're right to run away from this problem. -Not every problem, but this problem is one where the appropriate, mature thing to do is to shut the door. And then (if you haven't already) get thee to therapy. The fact that you're struggling over what to do, and worry that ending the relationship equals running away from a problem means you need therapy. Again, I've been there, so I know what I'm talking about here. Good luck. You deserve a good guy. This man isn't good for you.[/quote]
