I just suggested that one because it is a model that I imagine will be very popular this year because of the recent book and movie. Buying, for example, a random toy western horse for a kid who likes jumping is very kind but a little bit of a miss gift-wise.  I would have still played with it endlessly, but would prefer something else. Snowman should appeal to all because he is famous.  And the mold could be used for anything so would work if she likes another kind of riding, probably because he was a family horse too.
Anyway, just wanted to explain why I picked an "expensive" recommendation.

Also, the full size ones play well with dolls like Barbies and whatnot, the smaller ones are too small for them to ride.[/quote]
