Settlers of Caaan Ticket to Ride Empire Builder (but it's too old for OP's child) Puerto Rico Pandemic (also maybe too old) [/quote] in our house Stratego and Risk are favorites, we own a lot of these and they rarely get pulled out. maybe for perspective, my kids also love chess, checkers, scrabble, apples to apples, monopoly.
