[/quote] Lots of grandparents are that way. I guess I can't really blame them - being with little kids can be exhausting, and maybe they are just not up for it any more now that they are older. I do feel that it is the role of the spouse to take on more in terms of dealing with the kids when you visit the other spouse's parents - after all, it is more important for the child (in this case your DH) to see his parents than the DIL or SIL. My DH does it for me, and I do it for him. [/quote]
