I ask because my toddler had cotton candy for the first time last week and it BLEW. HIS. MIND. Like he was eating magic on a stick. Similarly, I remember eating soup dumplings in New York City when I was an intern and had an equally awe-inspired reaction. Have you eaten anything magical in your lifetime?
So funny because my toddler had cotton candy for the first time a few weeks ago. She was so excited to try the treat her 5 year old brother had and that looked so pink and awesome, but as soon as it hit her tongue, she looked at me with the saddest look of ultimate betrayal on her face. She didn't like how it just disappeared. :) I agree that soup dumplings are an amazing revelation, especially when you've been eating just regular dumplings for 25 years. I used to work overnight shifts near Chinatown a couple times a month and we would all go out for "lunch" in the middle of the night. After my first soup dumpling, that was my favorite group choice.
