It's the numbers.[/quote] As explained in the video, the increase in the number of seats at elite universities has exceed the growth in the number of students seeking those seats (even AFTER accounting for foreign students) - so the numbers prove it is easier to AN elite school than it was in the past, but it is more difficult to get into any ONE particular elite school. So if you have your heart set on just one particular elite school you are more likely to be disappointed than in the past, but if you will be satisfied with one of 10 elite schools you are more likely to be admitted.[/quote]
