Leggings aren't obscene on anyone, get a grip people.
Agreed. I'm not sure how leggings are any different than skinny jeans or jeggings or whatever. Frankly, I think this is more appropriate than some of the things I've seen kids wear (showing butt crack, cleavage, etc.)
Well, butt crack and cleavage are obviously not appropriate, but I really don't think leggings (or jeggings) are either. They are like tights and long underwear in that they belong under other things which cover the crotch area and backside. In general, leggings are not suitable pants because too often they are see-through and show things that should not be visible, and when they are not they're usually too tight and cause VPL or other unsightly things. Skinny jeans at least do not generally risk showing one's rear end or underwear through one's clothing. I wish wearing leggings as pants without another bottom or a top that covered one's rear was against the dress code, but since it currently isn't our daughters will just have to deal with the family rule that leggings are not to be worn as pants except possibly during exercise. Definitely not at school. That's completely inappropriate according to our family's standards.
