15:56 again, and I completely agree that no one should be wearing the bold items at school. The speedo and bikini belong at the beach or pool only (an example of wearing the right clothes for the right activity, which is why leggings might be OK as exercise pants) -- and I think certain bikinis are too skimpy and ridiculous to be worn at all.
The other two (sagging pants & skimpy skirts) should not be worn at all, at school or anywhere else really, because butt crack and underwear should be covered.
Not sure why that's LOL, seems like common sense to me not to dress in an indecent and overly revealing way.
The other stuff I'm not bothered by. Doesn't matter if I think it looks good as long as it isn't inappropriate.
It's meant to be sarcastic. I meant that NO ONE should be allowed to wear any of that stuff - ever (including adults) and the fact that we, as adults, wear these things in public, is much worse than leggings on teens in school.
Can't believe I had to spell that out.
. Having a bit of a bad day and apparently my sarcasm meter is off. In that case we are in complete agreement and I apologize for my post in response to yours.Anonymous wrote:Why are you all teaching your daughters to be ashamed of their bodies and that it is more important that they don't distract boys vs wearing comfortable clothing?

Agreed. I'm not sure how leggings are any different than skinny jeans or jeggings or whatever. Frankly, I think this is more appropriate than some of the things I've seen kids wear (showing butt crack, cleavage, etc.)

Anonymous wrote:This was a trend when I was in junior high and high school 25+ years ago - it's nothing new. And I'm annoyed that schools ban it, particularly when the rule is applied only to girls. What kind of message does that send? It may not be a great look for some, but unless it is affecting their performance, why do you care?
