Start doing something different. If you change your ENTIRE routine dramatically, it won't be such a struggle. Like bike to work, take a long walk at lunch, wear lipstick, just keep changing it up.
+1 Stop doing anything that you associate with smoking that you can. Like if you had coffee with a smoke switch to decaf tea. Do not drink alcohol. You will want to smoke if you do. Don't hang out with people who smoke. Become a health nut, read health magazines, workout, go to bed early, hang out at the library, watch funny movies, get a pet. You can do it!!!!!
++ and It's SO WORTH IT ++ I used to smoke. So glad I quit. Took forever. Now I am so grossed out by the smell. I totally get the born-again former smoker thing, lol. I had to stop drinking coffee because I wanted a cig with it so badly. Now I drink it at work once in awhile, fine, but not at home in the morning when I get up. Also once in awhile when I am super stressed and want to just puff away and blow smoke, I use an e-cig (vapor) with no tobacco.
