Roasting is one of the best ways to prepare broccoli. Stir-frying is great too. Make it Asian with flavors such as ginger, garlic, sesame oil, soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, etc. Make it Italian with lemon, Parmesan, garlic, etc. My husband hated broccoli (and most other vegetables) because he had grown up eating canned veggies or plain, boiled veggies that were overcooked. Broccoli is a member of the cabbage family. If you cook it too long it is really unappetizing, like boiled cabbage. Fresh broccoli is always best, but frozen can be good too if you dress it up a bit.
