Do PPs happen to have a Bosch dw? Asking bc we had a kitchenaid that was perfect, redid our kitchen & got talked into replacing it w/ 2 Boschs. Well one is their top of the line & the other is midrange. The midrange stinks!!! I have had the Bosch repairman, my own appliance repairman & my plumber out. Everything is done correctly & nothing in the drain. It stinks. Bosch cust svc claims they've never heard of that as a problem but google Bosch dishwasher smells/stinks & there are full websites dedicated to it!
We had the same problem with the bosch something about how it keeps water in the resevoir to keep the pump wet. We found it helpful to essentially wash all dishes that are made with egg before putting them in, running the dishwasher at least once a day, frequently washing the trap, and periodically running dishwasher magic. Buy seriously I will never buy a bosch again. I had none of these problems with any other dishwasher I"ve used. My parents and brother have the same problem with their bosch...
