Would you like to talk about what's bothering you?" From now on, try to come at it from a place of sympathy. Maybe her kid is smarter than yours, maybe she isn't. But your SIL seems to be trying to claim some kind of ownership and control over her reproductive process and the genetic cast of the dice. Hopefully she'll grow out of it. If she doesn't stop with the comments, then just completely stop reacting or responding to them. Not even monosyllabic responses. Just change the subject and act like she never said anything.
