We are in a similar situation. Sure we could return to our IB school if we are still alive after the MV commute. Maybe we aren't as committed as other parents or maybe we are wimps, but I am really concerned about what the commute will do to our health and quality of life.
Not wimps. We got into a hrcs 2 yrs ago and loved it and did the commute from mount pleasant. we engaged in carpooling and did all kind of planes trains and automobiles moves....it just wore on us and now we are planning on transferring. I'm from a big city and have no problem with travelling for school but the public transportation here is so piecemeal and patchwork that it just leaves huge gaps in convenience. traffic nightmares in this city are just soul crushing sometimes. i think we grossly underestimated the value of a decent commute for our kids and for our family.
