I buy the American brands used in consignment shops, and the French brands new when I go home (or my family buys them and sends them over). In France, there is not much second-hand market because people use up their clothes, or pass them on (same with other goods). Because of taxation, clothes are more expensive than here, but I like the style and fit on my children. Here I was pleasantly surprised to find "like new" clothing in second-hand shops, for half or a third of the price! The US is a wonderful place...[/quote]
