Just because someone doesn't have kids doesn't mean that they don't understand basic etiquette or that it's hurtful to not show up to a party they've already RSVP'd yes to. I try to be sensitive to other people's needs even if their lifestyle and family structure may be different than mine. I get tired of the whole parent vs. non-parent generalizations.
