PP: Yes but then we HAVE to put her in a school that felt off to both of us and has a history of teachers with reprehensible behavior (one that choked a student, now the molestation...). Are we supposed to put her in a school that we are in no way comfortable with?
You have to put her in a school that you can afford. You cannot afford the school that you have chosen. If you cannot tolerate the school you are zoned for, you have to look for a cheaper school option. What are you paying for school tuition, where in Rockville do you live and where do you each work? There are many options out there, maybe one of them is a better alternative for you. The best option is to put her back in the public school you are zoned for, cut all costs that you possibly can so that you can pay off your debt and stop paying interest which is back-breaking. After you pay off the debt, you should wait a few years to bank and save as much as possible so that in later years, you will have more options available to you. But if you continue down this road, you are likely heading for a place where you will have no options and may even lose you home. Is your private elementary school education for your daughter worth the ruination of your entire family? You can't afford what you are doing, so you need to find another alternative that is cheaper.
