I think I already mentioned we toured the school because we know that kind of thing can happen anywhere and were no comfortable with the leadership we met with, the class sizes, the test scores, and the overall depressive state of the teaching staff there. I think some of you are just barreling down the public v. private preach road and not actually looking at what is being said.
Okaaaay. Well, I went to the Toyota dealership and found the handling clunky, the styling prosaic, and the fabric bucket seats to not be very comfortable on the Corolla. Got a Benz instead but the $550 monthly payments are KILLING ME! So, what's your point, OP?
I know you're not comparing buying a car to a child's well-being and education? Oh, wait. You are. That's helpful.
It sure is. Both cars get you from point A to point B, allow you to arrive at work on time after your morning commute and a Corolla is a FINE car for any purpose except to show off. A public education is similar. Boatloads of people have gotten fine educations in public school, and lord knows private spits out their fair share of drug-addled losers. Private school is VERY much like getting a fancy car. Now, a jalopy that breaks down by the side of the road should be avoided--and there are equivalent public schools which should be avoided too. Signed, A person who has been on every side of the public/private fence and knows what she is talking about
