You are obviously not Catholic so please do not attempt to speak for us. Mary is NOT worshipped as a deity.  She holds a special place and is believed to be a saint who intercedes on our behalf (ie Holy Mother, pray for us).

Don't preach to me.  What is rude is the near constant bigotry and nastiness that Catholics endure anytime a question comes up about our faith.  It is beyond annoying to have a non-Catholic insist that their uninformed, prejudicial beliefs about my religion are facts, as if they know more about what we believe than we do.[/quote]

Listen, calling out ignorance and bigotry is a matter of fact and is not atrocious.  What is atrocious is people who refuse to learn about what they are talking about because bigotry is easier.  Save your prayers for those people.  I do.[/quote]
