You are obviously not Catholic so please do not attempt to speak for us. Mary is NOT worshipped as a deity.  She holds a special place and is believed to be a saint who intercedes on our behalf (ie Holy Mother, pray for us).

I'm just curious: Do they actively teach rudeness in Sunday School? You need to spend some time with Scripture today and reflect on how you can be a better person. Start with 2 Peter 1:2.

Don't preach to me.  What is rude is the near constant bigotry and nastiness that Catholics endure anytime a question comes up about our faith.  It is beyond annoying to have a non-Catholic insist that their uninformed, prejudicial beliefs about my religion are facts, as if they know more about what we believe than we do.[/quote]
