My husband is actually honest, funny, and respectful, and he's very ambitious in his career field--always looking for ways to build his resume, networking, positioning himself for more responsibility, actively seeking promotions and new jobs with more authority and scope, but he just doesn't make that kind of money, and he never will, because that's not par for his field (which he loves). Ask yourself, would you really want a guy who was truly ambitious but was never going to make a lot of money, or a guy who made a ton of money without working very hard and was content to coast on that?
