English major here, but my punctuation/grammar skills aren't perfect. My strong suits are writing and research.
+1. Let's me see here's a list of the types of jobs I've had as an English major (in no particular order). Non-profit fundraiser, community relations, public relations manager, project manager, events manager, arts education coordinator, health communication specialist. Through my jobs I've worked on these topic areas and more: arts, housing/community development, youth development, social services, mental health, public health (diabetes, obesity, influenza). I wouldn't change a thing. I will certainly admit though that times have changed. I think today there is an emphasis on being more focused with a career path. It's more difficult to move around and explore different job paths. I think my path would be impossible to recreate today, which is sad IMO.
