I've heard it's a pain in the a$$ to cancel your membership so if you can go without a contract for that price it's probably worth it. FWIW, you get what you pay for there. la fitness does a really crappy job at maintaining the gym- the silver spring location has really gone downhill since I started there and I'm about to bail. The smell is atrocious- there is no ventilation system to speak of and the old crappy carpet desperately needs to be replaced. Everything is grimy and some of the same weight lifting machines and spin bikes have been broken for years.[/quote]
