[/quote] That's the contrast? Uh, no. The contrast is that Obama was born on US soil. The birther argument was that even though he was born to a US citizen, he wasn't actually born on US soil, and . . . wait for it . . . was not a "natural-born citizen" and therefore INELIGIBLE TO BE PRESIDENT. In other words, the birthers thought Obama was ineligible to be president because they believed - deeply - that the circumstances of his birth were exactly the same as Cruz's. Oops. [/quote]
