It's simple math.[/quote] Yes, you are correct that the number of blind spots is the same. Here is what is different--the number of MOVING cars that are potentially coming into those blind spots. When you back in, the cars in your blind spots are fixed and known. When you pull out of a space in reverse, you don't know whether cars are moving towards your car from either side. Also, you are less likely to see a pedestrian.[/quote]
