We stay in a hotel, I tuck my kid in the bed, kiss him goodnight and tell him it is time to go to sleep. End of story. He turns over and goes to sleep. He knows who is boss and that he needs to listen. I keep one light on in the furthest corner and get on my laptop, sometimes will play music on a low level (MY music, not lullabys) and he goes to sleep.
