First, there aren't many govt workers or contractors in CC (if any area would suffer, it would be NoVa, where there are more feds and contractors). Second, I don't think any agencies are planning on furloughing employees for more than 14-21 days. People who can afford to live in CC can afford to go two to three weeks without pay without worrying about losing their homes. Perhaps they won't take a vacation this year, but the furlough won't have a serious impact on this area. [/quote]
