UCs require a C or higher in A-G classes regardless of demographic. If the C- was in one of the classes that meets the A-G then no UC will take them. The state audits and several years ago caught Cal admitting students who were staff kids/friends of AO, donor kids and other shady connections who weren’t qualified. The only reason the state caught Cal doing this was because those kids didn’t have a C or above in all A-G. I’m sure there were plenty of non qualified admits who weren’t hidden by “holistic” but if you don’t meet the basic eligibility the state can catch the university.[/quote]
