This…is just wrong and dangerous.   NVSL here: We get rosters on Tue/Wed.  Events on Thu/Fri.  Just depending on coaches/ reps schedule.  This is in prep for Saturday’s meet.

It’s not even slightly dangerous to announce on Friday.

But I don’t understand why they would announce rosters a day or two before events. To know the rosters they need to know which kids are in which events. So why not give all that info at the same time?  [/quote]

I also do not get why/how this could be "dangerous."  Our team typically announces rosters on Thursday and specific events on Friday.  The coaches tell the kids the events personally at the end of Friday AM practice. But the rosters are sent on Thursday to help parents with planning.
