Exactly. Rich billionaire plus mousy wife you’ve never heard of who doesn’t work….. not a power couple, even if she gets to wield power because of his money.

I would even say Trump and Melanie aren’t a power couple because she’s never done anything of note or of worth other than lie down.

I hate Sanchez but there does seem to be something different about her vs Melanie. She had her own job and was scrambling hard to climb the social and money ladder before she met bezos, and had a lot of social and money capital before she married him. So even though she’s a gold digger, and acquired a lot more power through him, she’s probably still a contributor to their power couple status. [/quote]
