They accept a certain number over for yield - knowing a good percentage will not accept. UVA is typically 9000 ish admits for 3900 spots. VT probably somewhere similar ratio. The WL comes into play when they don’t meet that overall goal or if certain majors/ programs don’t. [/quote]
