Yes, a lot of women in their 40s on dating sites are often looking for a booty call. 
This is a common understanding in the online dating scene. That’s why you’re receiving so many booty call requests.
Here is why.

At this age, women usually have a stronger sex drive. Most of them are either divorced or just getting out of bad relationships. Their exes  are probably in their late 40s or over 50. This is the time when many men start to struggle with ED and can no longer perform.

Women in their 40s understand what they want and are mature enough to pursue it. They already have kids. They are online looking for men who can meet their sexual needs. Their exes couldn’t do that anymore.

There are sexual problems on both ends. A lot of women in their 40s are hitting peri or menopause and either have dryness, no lubrication, difficulty reaching O, very low sex drive or significant weight gain and can't perform in the same way as they used to.

Not correct. Women experience sexual drive surge while men libido reduces in 40s, as a general rule. Some women may start experiencing dryness etc but it’s not as rampant as men ED issues [/quote]

I am 44F and that is certainly not the case with me. Sex drive is way low and nothing turns me ON. I don't know where you are reading that sex drive surge for women in 40s. [/quote]
