The poster mentioning about Jan  1-31 is probably a coach, admin, or a parent obsessed with MLS Next and rules to know this.  There is this "window" player registration can move between MSL club without impacting and taking away the max # of times a club can register new players into the league throughout the season, it's all administrative. Players move outside this window as well and clubs are willing to register a good recruit anytime.  At the end of day, the receiving club has to pick up the player and money paid to releasing org and receiving org.  [/quote]
