It runs from January 1 - 31. You have to have interest from another club and be released from your current club.
To the OP, what you should have done was reached out to the club of interest and they could've gotten you out there if you were looking to move mid season. Other than that, still reach out and register for their IDs. Once they see where you play, they'll likely reach out early and probably go check out some clips of your kid on taka. That'll give a direct reference to how you performed against their current team.
We’re in the Homegrown Division and have no clue what you are talking about. Clown.
The poster mentioning about Jan 1-31 is probably a coach, admin, or a parent obsessed with MLS Next and rules to know this. There is this "window" player registration can move between MSL club without impacting and taking away the max # of times a club can register new players into the league throughout the season, it's all administrative. Players move outside this window as well and clubs are willing to register a good recruit anytime. At the end of day, the receiving club has to pick up the player and money paid to releasing org and receiving org.

It’s a little bit odd for me to see people acting outraged that someone who is a soccer coach would want to coach their children. Good luck to those attending tryouts.
Same old shxx from obnoxious disgruntled parents. Kid ain’t on the any top team, likely NVA never invited his totally talented kid for a tryout anyway. But sure professes to know a lot about NVA, find that interesting for someone who doesn’t care. Whiner.

Understand there is a large number of kids signed up for tryouts, more than expected.

Anonymous wrote:NVA is hysterical. They have this 'exclusive' process whereby a player needs to register and then be 'invited' to what amounts to a tryout session. Please, get over yourself. It's obnoxious. I mean NVA is no MLS Academy or anything. Heck a year ago they were ECNL. Either way, they need to get off their high horse and just have open tryouts like every other competitive club in the area. It's a turn off for sure (and at this point, I still decide for my player where they go so yes, it matters). FWIW, my player plays for a competing club (at the highest level). This is not sour grapes-just a indictment on a dumb process that people don't have time to waste energy on.

You gotta get in those fees early to be rewarded and win genetic lottery - no matter how decent.
No wonder Spain and Italy clean our clocks every 4 years (both smaller average height)
What a dumb ignorant comment
