It is not odd for a school’s parent association to know a rough or draft schedule. They are responsible for several beginning of the school year activities.

I’m the person you are responding to and nope, my kid’s school is far from Alexandria but also in northern VA. Zero affiliation but parent association acronyms tend to be similar-ish so it didn’t take a lot of critical thinking to see what it was referring to.

I just did a very quick google search to see if this was a state secret or something, and the very first result for me is a Google page that spells out the acronym.

And no, I don’t think it builds distrust to share draft information with people who have roles to fulfill on behalf of the school. At my kid’s k-8 parish school, our parent association is responsible for new family events + back to school events for the entire school community. Some of those include outside vendors like caterers, etc. I assume that in order to plan those things they need dates to plan against. I have zero cares in the world if that group knows information about the school before me. [/quote]
