I cut out not one but two such "friends" while DH and I were dating. They didn't know him before we got together, but did really weird things around him or for him, fully expecting to stir the pot in our relationship. It was really strange. I also had a "friend" hit on my then long-term boyfriend; he was the one who finally told me about it because I was totally blind and trusting. I would let your "old friend" go, OP.[/quote]
