You were talking about your husband... What did you say? Because if you were talking about how much he likes sports, this is kinda weird. But if you were talking about his bedroom habits, this makes perfect sense.


No way does talking about “bedroom habits” with a spouse of many years make any sense.

That is kind of weird.

I was out the other night, chatting with a woman I know who is married to a guy I briefly dated years ago. She's amazing, and I think he is very lucky to have found her. I have no idea if she knows we dated, but I decided long ago to never say a word about it. You just don't know how people are going to handle that info.

100%, no 1000% this.

I cut out not one but two such "friends" while DH and I were dating. They didn't know him before we got together, but did really weird things around him or for him, fully expecting to stir the pot in our relationship. It was really strange. I also had a "friend" hit on my then long-term boyfriend; he was the one who finally told me about it because I was totally blind and trusting.

I would let your "old friend" go, OP.

I feel like your husband or her should have brought it up at one point before you got married.

However, it is true you don't usually compare notes.

I feel like that was shady of her to do and you probably want to keep your distance.

In the end, you are the one who is with him now.

I slept with my friend's husband about a month before I met DH and about 6 months before he met her (he was part of our overall friend group, she was a college friend that moved to the area). I can't really picture any reason I would bring this up to her, especially years and years later.

Was it said in a funny/joking manner? Or did she sound like she was trying to stir something up.

I don't think my friend would particularly care, it was nearly 20 years ago. But I also can't imagine saying "haha did you know I slept with your DH 18 years ago?"

And why would this bother OP? It's not like her DH cheated with a friend. It was before OP dated her DH. And it lasted for 2 seconds, so her DH did not catch any deep feelings for her friend.
