Much of it had to do with the inventory that was available at our price point when we purchased.

We wanted to be able to walk to metro, stores, restaurants, etc., which meant the house needed to be reasonably close to downtown Bethesda, CC MD close to Upper CT Avenue or CC DC.

We ended up in CC DC and have generally been happy with the choice.  Close to FH metro, shops on CT Avenue, etc.  FH was a big draw for us when we bought in the early 2000s, so it's been depressing how much FH has declined since then...let's hope the TJ, Total Wine et al signify a rebirth.

Sent kids all through DCPS and both are at top 20 colleges.  If we had been thinking more about colleges back when we bought, we probably would have given more consideration to VA just because they have better in state options compared to MD.[/quote]
DC doesn’t have a university. Correct me if I am wrong, but DC residents qualify for in state tuition in VA and MD[/quote]
