[/quote] This is false and I doubt you're a part of the school community. First of all, this is Rush week, so it's definitely not quiet. I was at an event this week with faculty, staff, students and alumni. The new president received a tepid response when he was introduced. I'm sure he's a nice guy and well known by the community (former Batten Dean), but accepting the job under the current climate, just before the new Governor took office isn't a good look. What was the rush? There are already emails by student and faculty groups questioning this decision so I wonder how much support he'll receive. Lastly, Jim Ryan was very popular with students.
