It's been a while since I read the book. I did enjoy the movie! I have a soft spot for Poppy. I think I used to be more like her in my teens and 20s but in trying to be less annoying, not "too much" all the time, plus trying to keep my work and household running smoothly, I may have lost some of that joie de vivre and spontaneity.
