I know I should have done it years ago [/quote] Just make sure you're responding to all questions honestly and fill in all the pertinent fields on the application. I know that many immigrants don't and try to omit some things, in order to "not stand out". That's what may come back to bite you. Nobody gets deported from running a red light from 30 years ago (and you got a ticket) BUT if you did, and omitted that in your application, and it somehow comes out, then you have lied on your application.
