I'm not a huge FN fan, but I don't see her being disrespectful. I think the point of many of the stories is that she makes the wrong choice and then suffers the consequences. Also, sometimes she's not happy with what the adults want her to do, but she does it. Kids have these same feelings and I think books like these help them navigate them.[/quote]
