I’d argue that the time is more important than the place at a meet like this. If swimming against one of the greatest swimmers of all time helps drop a little time, second place is probably worth it for that swimmer. Not to mention having the chance to swim with that person is a once in a lifetime opportunity for most[/quote] No shade to the teenagers entered, because they are all great swimmers-- but none of them are going to be racing her in any sense of the word unless she comes in to do an easy stretch out mile. She will be so far ahead that 2nd and 3rd seed will be racing their internal clocks or their outside lane. It's a cool experience for sure, but not really a recipe for dropping time.[/quote]
