Holy crap. That is a MUCH faster meet.
KLI has long been a deeper meet. However, this year there aren’t the standouts at the top of the Winter Classic (State, NCAA, Olympic Champs) that there have been in years past.
Some of the fast 13/15 and senior Mako girls left for NCAP this year.
Many of the elite York young kids left. There isn’t a standout club from the northeast this year either.
Even after the departure of some strong swimmers, York still has the top-seeded 11-12 boys free relays in both 200 and 400.

Elite and young kids should not be used in the same sentence.
Elite and young???? That is hilarious. There is no such thing. I am guessing you are a parent of a young swimmer. Take it from the BTDT families - elite is a term you use for the older teen swimmers. The ones that have had their bodies change (sometimes betraying them and relearning to swim or killing them from the sport), weathered early morning practices and at a certain point without mommy or daddy pushing them, decide on their own to forego a lot because their love of the water is the most important thing in their life, etc. and pushing to get the next cut. That is an elite swimmer and that is not a thing with a little kid. Girls can start in that category at 13ish - but let's see what they are at 17. Boys don't even count until they hit 15 and they can keep going through college.

I think you mean behind her.
I was actually thinking that kind of sucks for a HS senior thinking they were going to be able to win it this year, go out on top. But neat for everyone else.
Eh. I’d argue that the time is more important than the place at a meet like this. If swimming against one of the greatest swimmers of all time helps drop a little time, second place is probably worth it for that swimmer. Not to mention having the chance to swim with that person is a once in a lifetime opportunity for most
